Installation support service

Are you ready to make some energy saving home improvements, but not sure where to start? We can help.

We’ve partnered with Warmworks to provide bespoke installation support to households in select areas across the North East. Warmworks will handle the whole process of installing energy saving home improvements, from assessing your home all the way through to overseeing the installation.

Which areas are eligible for this support?

You can use this service if you live in:

  • Northumberland
  • Newcastle
  • North Tyneside

If you live outside these areas, there may be other support available. See what support is available across the North East.

  • Depending on your home and budget, we can help you with:

    • Improving your home insulation so it costs less to heat your home.
    • Upgrading your doors and windows so less heat is lost.
    • Installing a more energy efficient heating system.
    • Installing solar panels to make use of free, renewable electricity.
  • We offer support from start to finish in making your home more energy efficient. Here’s how the process works:

    1. We refer you to Warmworks who will contact you to arrange a visit.
    2. A Warmworks advisor assesses your home and makes recommendations on suitable energy efficient home upgrades, and provides an energy performance certificate (EPC).
    3. A Warmworks sub-contractor carries out a more in-depth survey of your home.
    4. You’re given a full list of recommendations and costs, and you agree which ones you want to install.
    5. Warmworks sends you a quote for the work.
    6. You sign an agreement and pay a deposit for the work.
    7. A trusted, certified Warmworks sub-contractor carries out the installation.
    8. You pay the rest of the installation cost.
    9. Warmworks does a quality inspection and post-installation assessment.
    10. You fill in a customer satisfaction survey to make sure you’re happy with your home improvements.
  • We will usually be able to cover the cost of the home assessment, survey and EPC for you. This is strictly subject to availability. We’ll let you know before you commit to anything so you can be sure there are no hidden fees. See our terms and conditions for more detail.

You will then pay for any home improvements you choose to install, but we can help you with any funding that you might be eligible for to offset costs.

  • This depends on what work needs to be done. Bigger projects can take longer, but Warmworks will make sure that all work is done as efficiently and as carefully as possible.

    • Lower your energy bills with minimal effort – Warmworks will do all the work for you.
    • We’ll support you every step of the way – from the initial survey all the way to quality tests of any installation.
    • The installation process is smooth and hassle-free.
    • Any improvements are done by high quality, trusted installers.
  • Warmworks is a trusted partner with extensive experience in helping more than 40,000 households across the UK save energy through home improvements.

  • Warmworks is working in partnership with Energy Saving Trust to provide an installation service to customers of Home Energy Advice North East, the one stop shop for energy and retrofit support in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.

The installation service includes a home assessment, which will produce an Energy Performance Certificate, installation of suitable energy efficiency improvements and a post-installation inspection. Warmworks will oversee the delivery of the whole process, ensuring customers experience a first-class, streamlined service.

Funding is available from Home Energy Advice North East to cover a limited number of assessments, EPCs and inspections  – this is strictly subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. No funding is available to cover the energy efficiency improvements and customers are expected to cover these costs.

If funding for the assessment, EPC and inspection is no longer available, Warmworks will provide a full quote for all costs prior to entering into any agreement or beginning any work. Costs may vary.
